| Description: | Position is responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment as well as monitoring, adjusting, repairing, and installing other equipment throughout the processing plant. |
| Duties: | Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers. Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunctions. Assists with the installation of new and existing equipment. Assists with the necessary repairs of equipment, property, and the building. Responsible to identify opportunities for improvements and to communicate those to supervisor or lead person. Assists other maintenance personnel in the repair, modification, and construction of equipment and structure as needed including initiating work orders. Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment. |
| Qualifications: | Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read and comprehend documents and instructions. Have the ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities in order to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems. Excellent communication skills. Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical procedures. Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends. |
